I finally got around to watching it. That cheap pickguard and the way it’s mounted hurts my soul. The work was done well, as he typically does, but I sure wish the owner had invested in a nice guard.

I own a 1952 L-5C with no built-in pickups. Despite that, watching this video was quite educational. I liked the model historical comments, comparisons and observations. You never know just how much goes into the construction of this type of instrument, especially when modifying it, until you see this kind of work.

Sad to see what this L5 has endured, mod-wise. Reminds me of the click-bait photos of movie stars that have had so much cosmetic surgery they're unrecognizable.
