Can someone please tell me where to find the knob on the left--cracked, as opposed to the one on the right, wrong purchase. Not sure what the term is for the different underside design, but left side one is what I need. Thank you.
Some thin cyanoacrylate adhesive, plus clamping for a short time, should take care of the crack, at least for awhile, while you search for a new knob. Shafts come in a couple of sizes, as do knobs to fit on them. It looks like you bought the Asian metric size, but it's hard to tell for sure. I also can't tell if the shaft is long enough for the new knob.
I frankly don't disbelieve that the best of American archtops are superior to anything else - you guys invented them. And Martin guitars - a recent discovery for me: genius.

Listening once more to your demo. Now this recalls very obviously to me the sound of the Belge guitarist Rene Thomas.. and the phrasing, airy and jumpy. The backing track reminds me the happy mood, ...
I own three of John D'Angelico's guitars. I have a 1935 Excel. a 1837 Style A and a 1948 Style B. All are non-cut 17 inch guitars. All are amazing acoustic guitars. While they all do sound a bit...

It's 4 or 5 hours each way for me (southern Oregon) and I already have a nice ES175. Of course.. if it were close by I probably couldn't resist. A good deal on a good guitar is often a trading step...
My favorite is T Monk and Milt Jackson. So spiky, melodic, and colorful. :redface-new:

I’ve been researching Style A/A-1s recently and had some questions. Currently, there are 7 Style A and A-s available for sale on Reverb and through various dealers. They’re from 1938-1940 and range ...
