Just thought I'd show my current build for nylon strings. "Celeste" is the current state of my (evolving) own crossover design.

Looks very interesting!

The bracing pattern looks VERY interesting and the detail work is top ! Reminds me a bit of the flying braces by Steve Klein ... Have you built some nylonstring guitars before ? Will it have a 12 or a 14 fret neck ?
Looking forward to the further build report ....

Wow thanks for the supportive comments!
This is where I am from starting with traditionally braced classical and flamenco builds. I went my own way after my 1st guitar build. I got into Kasha/radial bracing and have now taken it into my crossover design.
She has 14 frets to the body. The body is relatively short, with the waist brought up a little, and the lower bout wider than typical for a guitar of this size. This brings the bridge back to about the centre of the lower bout.
The fingerboard will be 20" radius, and the nut width 45mm, which is about the minimum width I go for nylon strings.
I'm not far from assembly now and I'm going to glue the bridge and string her up before finishing. I can't wait to hear her!

Lovely!

Shaping up!

Lovelier and lovelier, I’d give up my remaining traditional classical body for one of these (with a 50mm nut and other neck-related conversations).
Keep us in your loop, add me to your mail list if you have one.

That looks like it will be one stunning instrument!

Wow! Just wow!
Very beautiful!

Thanks!
The response is really encouraging!

That’s truly gorgeous. Looks like a guitar a pro would build. Keep up with the inspiration!

Very sexy!
I love the super-gradual arm bevel. Interesting application of Kasha principles in the bracing.
Keep it up, mate!

I have a website (I'm way behind with that, but I have uploaded a couple of classical build logs) and build traditional classical and flamenco guitars for the love of it (and to eat).

Any news?
This guitar looks a lot like Ben Wilborn's Comma series, but with an additional soundport. I'd be curious to hear what she sounds like!
