From Nick: "Very happy to be launching my new standards trio EP 'Nice Work!' on 25 August at The Vortex jazz club, London. Featuring the fantastic Josh Morrison and Tom Farmer. Recorded live to tape at Fish Factory Studios. More previews to come!"

Recently completed spring batch of guitars by Bryant. The 16 “ solid has some very unique and tasteful headstock and fingerboard inlays.

    Very cool.
I have a 17" Excel style with that tea burst that's on the 1st one. Lovely guitars in all respects.

Here's some unplugged shedding of "I Fall in Love Too Easily" on my Trenier. This ones up for sale here on the forum and reverb:

This was an impromptu session in a HOT attic the other week - just my iPhone and a ZOOM stereo recorder, a little post-production reverb, eq and compression in Logic, voila !
The guitar was plugged straight into a BUD6, no FX in between.

Will Sellenraad was in action at Mezzrow last night, with Elam Friedlander and Nasheet Waits, playing his Trenier Jazz Special (with a real vintage Charlie Christian pickup) into a vintage tweed Fender.

do you know if it's a late 30s original CC or later 50s-70s issue?
bonus points if you can name the lp playing while they're setting up....

    It's a 1938 pickup in Will's guitar.

Thanks for sharing digging this set this morning. Will's a killer player and that tone is incredible even through the stream mics

I agree. Will plays wonderfully. And his tone is awesome. Old school tweed. For me, a refreshing change from the solid state sound we often hear.

You guys want to hear acoustic Archtop tone at its finest - give this a listen.

Bryant Trenier on Instagram: "Brown @newyorker on it’s first day, going a good direction, I’d say.

How glorious and that’s a guitar that hasn’t even been played in yet.

Exactly ! A brand new guitar that sounds this good on day one - is going to be a real lap piano.

That is amazing. It makes me think of the sound that comes from my 1936 Emperor Masterbuilt. It's a cannon.
Bryant sure builds a fine guitar.
But I’m always a bit sad when a luthier of his caliber says that he will no longer build a model of guitar that I find particularly appealing, while completely understanding the need to move forward. It's all good.

    Cheers!
