Well I guess I stand corrected.

I honestly think this is a bit silly. We do often get folks on here who claim to have transcended systems (or theory or etc etc etc). And I find, in every single case, that their own system is just invisible to them.

What if I told you this?

I don’t use any system when I’m actually playing, but when I’m practicing I use every system I can find. I love them. It’s like using a poetic form to teach you the cadence of a language. Will you use the form when you speak? No. But you’ll learn some interesting pathways through the language while you’re doing it.

I can’t see inside another persons head, but a system for deriving one result or another is about the closest I can get. If I got into with the expectation that it give me the result I want then I will almost certainly come away thinking it’s a stupid system. If I go into it with the expectation that it give me something interesting whatever that may be, then I might actually learn something.

Might not either, but it’s better than the alternative.

I'll also say that this is an internet forum. So, as someone who posts lots of my own stuff for people to use, you sort of have to expect it to get picked apart. The same way folks might learn something from reading something I post with an open mind, I can usually learn something by entertaining their criticisms or questions with the same.

And sometimes people are jerks and those people can be ignored, but that's less frequent than one might imagine.

    I post very little.
Been reflecting on my short fuse this nonsense.

I did read your pdf, didn't find it useful but perhaps others will.
