Teacher wanted - Nat King Cole guitar style

I would like to play like guitar player in Nat King Cole recordings like "Candy, Straighten up and fly right, Route 66, etc. ".

I am in Malaga but Skype sessions would be ok as well if the teacher knows how to play those songs in that style and can teach

Sharing a video made for p4chuss2 in case of use to others. (Correction: the chords @3.15 descend from Cmi7 to Bmi7 to Bbmi7 - i.e., not from C#mi7)

So I just wanted to ask everyone their opinion on the Kings piano playing. Was he really that good? And what is it about great instrumentalists who put down their instruments and start singing? Quick couple of examples besides Nat- George Benson or progressive rock example Phil Collins!

Nat was a superb jazz pianist, a master. As far as singing goes, follow the money!

was nkc that good on piano?

    oh my goodness

    economy and swing

i think if i'd ever seen him playing and singing (at the same time....) i would have lost my proverbial mind and never found it again.

he swings with an elegance that is unmatched - and he does it with extraordinary economy and a singers ear for melodic phrasing - as the clip shows he is hugely logical too (he keeps an idea going - he plays an idea and then plays what follows from that idea). and he has an ability to introduce rhythmical variety that reminds me very much of bill evans.

piano players will know that he is a true innovator too - one of the ten (eleven or twelve) most significant piano players in the history of the music
