Beautiful playing but the song was written by Jimmy Webb, not Jimmy Cobb.

Very nice! It's a tune I am not familiar with, other than the Heinlein reference in the title. Beautiful tone and feel! Alot of times with slow tunes we feel a need to fill up the space with too much filigree, you resisted the urge to do that and let the song come through.

… See her how she flies
Golden sails across the sky
Close enough to touch
But careful if you try
Though she looks as warm as gold
The moon's a harsh mistress
The moon can be so cold
First heard Judy Collins do this, but not in a long time. Thanks for doing this song, and Thank God for Jimmy Webb.
