    My father loved the Animals and “the house of the rising sun” was one of the three songs he could play in guitar, and my mother had a crush on Alan Price from when she lived in the UK. SO I grew up listening to the animals a lot. I saw Eric Burdon live with my father as a teenager. Amazing energy.

    This may be my fave song of theirs. Maybe with “don’t let me be misunderstood”.

    One of the best things about the early Animal, besides Eric Burdon, was that darn organ. It sounded so good in many of their songs
