Spring Can Really Hang You Up The Most is one of my favorite jazz guitar ballads. Discovered it from one of Johnny Smith’s trio records. Kenny Burrell and Joe Diorio also have lovely versions on solo guitar. For vocals, Betty Carter’s rendition really gets me.

I love doing it as chord melody. Smith uses the original Cmaj7 - Bbmaj7 changes on the head, while Burrell’s substitution of a Bb13 really opened it up for me.
