I am trying something for 2021. I am calling it "A Standard A Day".
I plan on sharing a video of me performing a different Jazz Standard every day this year. Let's hope this goes longer than last year's daily workout commitment which petered out around January 14.

This is not to highlight me or my playing but to highlight the great songs that are a part of our collective history.

First up is "All the things you Are"

You wouldn't catch me trying to do one a day, I'd never get inside them enough. And you need to get inside them.

It's not a competition, you know.

It’s not a competition. I am challenging myself. Not to “get inside” the tune but rather to play the tune and go through the process of recording and uploading.
Some people challenge themselves to lose weight or visit the gym or save more money. I am challenging myself to do this.
It’s not a race if no one is running.
