Bonjour,
Do any can post the chord progression of Too much of a good Thing, by Coleman Hawkins?
Or point me where to find it. Link?
The track was featured in the 1947 album Hollywood Stampede, and see that many big bands use to play it.
If any guitarist have experience whit this track, will be welcome to share. Not only playing the chords changes but the melody and solos.
Best
Nick

You can easily buy it online for not much. Google it. Take your pick :-)

Here's a nice version of it from my old buddies in Brighton. The guy on trumpet is Joe Hunter, very experienced band player. Lovely man.

Guys here pointed that is a contrafact.... Personally I took the Find and Dandy progression and try to transpose to Too Much, but didnt work. I dont have very much knowledge about theory, maybe I missing something...
Clarifications and help are welcome
PD.: do any have the chord progression of I wish you love by Grant Green, where Barny Kassel play the chords changes?
I already transcribe by ear the whole Grant solo, but means nothing if I dont have the harmonic base, in order to learn the choice of notes that GG made there.Last edited by NickV; 12-10-2020 at 09:30 PM.
