    The timing may need a a bit of adjustment, but I think the melody is from Samba de Orfeu by Luis Bonfa, from the soundtrack to Black Orpheus.

    Yeah, that Paul Desmond version is hauntingly beautiful, I'll be getting that for sure.

    I remember Manha de Carnaval from the movie but had totally forgotten about this one.
