Thank you, Dr. L-S PhD. That put a big smile on my face but I won't necessarily want to repeat the experience of listening to that.

Hysterical! What next, extreme death metal polka?

    Perhaps some grunge Americana?

Thanks for posting, haven't laughed so much for ages.

It died with an awful sound

Truer words ... the song, that is. Or, that was. It's now an ex-song. It's joined the Choir Eternal, which has that very moment, turned up its toes and expired.

God that was awful. What has Smoke on the Water ever done to Pat Boone?

I think that this finally answers the questions that have been swirling around about what "swings" and what does not.

I am glad I did not skipped the video.
That's much more enjoyable I expected. (well, my expectation was very minimal :-)

What's more it's better what some famous jazz/fusion star guitarist produced on this tune (or similar tunes).

(I looked for other videos of Lanny Cordola in youtube but those are mainly useless/tastless (imho))

    Thanks!

I really do not want to hijack the thread, but if "Smoke of the Water" already came out then take this:

(well, it swings, and has cool guitar chord parts, a chorus of impro)

Btw: It suits so good as a jazz tune, because originally it is...
