Maybe try something simpler? I heard flintstones theme is good.

It would be possible to combine the melodies of Groovin' High and the Flintstones theme, as counter melodies they fit together nicely.

Besides, if we we don't play it, apparently you will keep bugging us about it. I'm beginning to think you took a large bribe from Betty Rubble. What did she promise you, Barney's rare, collectible petrified wood guitar?

Re: Combining Groovin' High & The Flintstones tune, I had something like this in mind (below). I whipped this out quickly and the Flintstones part was done by ear so it may not be the optimum way to line up the two tracks, plus I don't think the two tunes have the same number of measures or the same chord changes. However, I think this could be made to work if one is so inclined (I'm not). I'll give that assignment to joe2758 since he's the one who is groovin' high on the flintstones.

Groovin' High is on the top staff with Flintstones on the staff below it - just the first 12 bars of each (through the first ending of Groovin High). Last 16th note on Groovin' High should be Eb (not E).

Going to be out of town this week so here’s a quick (vanilla, inauthentic) take on Groovin’ High.

Worked a bit on Miss Ann but it’s very slow at the moment. Odds are when I’m back to a guitar, I’ll have mostly forgotten it.

I agree that I'm not "doing it right" yet. In fact after listening to it, I think I should follow our study protocol here, i.e., practice a few bars at a time rather than try to master the entire thing at one time as I did. It's clear that the "play all" approach will not work with a Dolphy tune.

The other problem is that it's very difficult to phrase it properly at tempos above 160bpm, even Vic Juris could not do that, just playing all the right notes is a big challenge.

I hadn't played this chart I wrote on the GuitarPro6 app. The juxtaposition of the two lines is actually very interesting, kind of a mind bender, might be fun to work the whole thing out. I've attached the GP6 chart (zipped up) which can be played in GP version 5 or higher.
