    Moose the Mooche?

I almost put that one on there. You can do a write in if you want.

Honestly I put chasing the bird because I don’t know it. But moose is good too.

For what it’s worth … probably the hardest bebop head I have at the moment. Maybe that or Quasimodo.

    I've voted for Dexterity.

    Another great tune.

Edit: Thanks posting Bop Head threads, they're all good.

Don't you have two parts for Chasin the Bird? How does that work when learning a head?

I would learn Parker, then Davis.

Breh, noone did Dewey Square at all. I should go back and redo my take. I have Segment under my fingers now for Open Studio. But right now I'm so addicted to ballad and slow med BH 6th/dim that I don't feel like doing bop lol.

Part of the reason I want to do one that’s new for me.

    So I’ll actually do it

I got all tripped up with the ghost note in the beginning of Dewey Square and figured it was too soon for me.

y'know another option here –– since every time I post a poll, people are immediately like "I want to do Salt Peanuts" or whatever –– is to just have a bebop heads thread where people post updates on whatever they're working on?

    just a thought.

I do like the coordination, it just seems like they fizzle when we're not working on a tune everyone wants to work on

I’m totally fine with Dexterity. It sounds pretty straightforward.

I picked Chasing the bird so I could use it in my band. But I’m not starved for repertoire.

Relaxin' at Camarillo? (always liked Howard Roberts rendition).

Actually it's a blues, so never mind.....

I voted Chasin' the Bird, but Dexterity is good too. Should probably learn all three, actually.

I have a long term goal to learn them all. 3 a year is fine. I’m not racing.

I’m up to about thirty now I think? Maintenance is an every day thing on that, though.

I enjoyed Dewey Square and Scrapple, I play these Bebop heads most days. But, alas, Donna Lee has fell by the wayside, apart from the first few bars.

Or alternatively a thread with all 3 and people can pick which one?

I had my heart set on Hot House and I even worked on it.

Yeah, I use the opening licks from Donna Lee all the time.
