Poll closes automatically, cat. And you did comment four days ago.

    Whats your vote?

I can change my vote to Dexterity. Now that I've sat on it it a week, there's no point learning the most obscure Parker heads first.

I guess I won't vote now since it's close and they all sound cool to me and I might not do it.

I must fess up, that 4th vote for Chasing the Bird was my doing.

Wanted to see if I can catch him, but Dexterity is fine with me.

How about taking on a post-bebop Bird-like tune? I'm thinking of Miss Ann by Eric Dolphy.

I'm ready for the next vote as well. But, I nominate Groovin High

Alright I’m going to keep this bumped to the top for a day or two to get nominations. Invariably I do a poll and everyone is like WHAT ABOUT THIS TUNE

I already did that one. Surprisingly simple.

I just thought it would be nice to take a break from be-bop royalty, i.e., Bird, Dizzy & Monk.

I didn’t say it was a bad idea.

    Alright I’ll make a poll tonight …

    Bouncin w Bud
    Groovin High
    Flintstones
    Miss Ann

    an eclectic bunch.

Let me know in the next couple hours if there are any others

The Flintstones theme is too easy, if we want to work on our arpeggios, we could do Joy Spring.

This was amusing: When I went on YouTube looking for renditions of "Bouncin' with Bud," I was seeing recordings by country and western musicians.... what, Buck Owens recorded a Bud Powell tune?!!

Then I realized I had entered "Bud's Bounce" in the search engine box, seems there's a C&W instrumental by that name.

"Bouncin' with Bud," Fats Navarro on trumpet, my fav 1940's era Bebop trumpet player.

My vote will be for Miss Ann. I love Dolphy, but I've only ever learned Miles Mode/Red Planet.
