I'd love a Great Bass recorder. Here's one reason why:

Enchanting! In Sr. Hi Band I always adored the tones from the woodwinds across from our French Horn section, the lower-pitched ones in particular. Nice chest tones from the Bass Clarinet and the Bassoon, akin to the dulcet tones from this talented lady's (reedless) Recorder.

The bass clarinet often sounds wonderful in a jazz/free context. The sax reigns supreme among wind instruments in jazz, but I'm very taken with the Grand Bass recorder, and this performer's playing.

I have a regular bass recorder, not nearly as great as the Great ones!

My wife has an old bass recorder, I think she originally got it for a recorder group when she was at school or something. The low notes sound great, but the upper notes don’t sound properly, it probably needs an overhaul.

These are super cool. Looks like an instrument designed by Dieter Rams
