I like this arrangement I did of this beautiful song. It's going to appear on a future Jazz Standards recording. Not this one and not with this band. I recorded it last year for an upcoming album. At rehearsal we were about to play a very difficult song. As the first song of the day the pianist begged to play a standard first. So I pulled this out. They hadn't seen it and I hadn't played it in over a year. I forgot some of the changes as well.

I love this song. I've played this solo - chord melody - at a few memorials for friends who passed.

Moon River, wider than a mile,
I'm crossing you in style some day.
Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker,
wherever you're going I'm going your way.
Two drifters off to see the world.
There's such a lot of world to see.
We're after the same rainbow's end--
waiting 'round the bend,
my huckleberry friend,
Moon River and me.
