I imagine it was the musicians' decision to set up in the beer and wine section.

I think the fellow with the tele has a great jazz sound. Would that be you?

I grew up listening to Ed Bickert here in Toronto (He had a humbucker in his.) so tele and jazz have always gone together for me.

I have a criticism... some of the right notes were in the wrong places

Here's some more supermarket jazz, from Austin, Texas. I daresay the musicians are more attractive than the ones in the OP.

That's outside. I'm not sure why they set music acts up out there, but that's the way they do it. They sometimes have well-known acts there, like the Hot Club of Cowtown. And it's certainly Central Market, a well-known grocery chain in Texas, owned by the Butt family, who also own the HEB stores. It's the more upscale chain.

Here's HCC playing outside on the grounds. Whit Smith can play.

And here's a link to more videos from there. CentralMarketMusic

Nothing recent, but all sorts of supermarket jazz. Sorry for hijacking your thread. Mea culpa.

I dig supermarket jazz! Much better than elevator jazz. Them bands all sound the same and take too much space I have to use the stairs.

It’s a bit of a squeeze with double bass as well

Sorry about that, 1970's moment seemed appropriate.
