A lovely Ibanez AF-200 Prestige (Japan).
I bought this archtop for R&D purposes.
This is a finely built guitar with a sweet and delicate tone.
More the D’aquisto type sound than the E-175 due to its design. Interestingly the body originated from the Jp-20, which was based off of Joe Pass’s D’aquisto.
The AF200 has now been discontinued but represented Ibanez's flagship 16" model.
This example is essentially like new and comes with OHSC also like new.
£1,450 **Reduced to £1,399**
Happy to ship internationally and viewings are welcome either in person or on WhatsApp. Based in Uk (south east)
Kindest Regards

Unbelievable price for a mint af200. Must be the wrong time of year, because this should have been snapped up by now. GLWTS.

Don’t get me started! Scotland voted to stay in the EU, yet we are out, thanks to English nationalists. When Scotland had a referendum to come out of the UK, we were told that the safest way to stay part of the EU was to stay in the UK. Just enough Scots (and probably not all Scottish) were convinced by that lie to vote to remain. It’s a right bloody mess. Westminster politics is destroying the UK, and I for one can’t wait to get back to the EU. Not that it is perfect, but it is better than Wasteminster.
Like I said, don’t get me started!

Just saying… a great guitar for jazz at a very good price. I love mine, anyone here who has one does too.
As to the EU thing, umm, I dunno nothing, but if Rob’s unhappy I’m with him

Hi Everyone.
Bumping this lovely Ibanez AF200 Prestige (MIJ). Can ship to US, Canada and Western EU.
Not a mark on it; essentially brand new.
Superior to any Chinese/Korean/Indonesian product and now at the same price.
Frankly a 'no brainer'.

Have to help Archie, cause this is an excellent guitar at an excellent price.
Do not be concerned about the misinformation out there about
‘skinny’ Ibanez necks, my AF200’s neck measures as equal to a 98 Tal Farlow neck, and that’s a a well-respected player. (Do not compare an Ibanez shredder to the jazz line.)
Archies right, it is a superior build, and outclasses the other Asians. Including Eastman. I and other Ibanez players really don’t understand why more jazz players don’t get it. Sound, quality, playability, looks, all there.
If the name bothers you that much… do what Barney Kessel did on his Gibson: put black tape over it!

Thanks JK
I’ll have to owe you some commission at this rate
I think the necks on these are the same as the George Benson necks.
Scientifically perfected
-
Yes sir, equal to the GB10 and the PM200 neck.
But… the MIJ LGB300 is a different neck, one i think tends towards a Guild neck. I think the general public would love that neck. Me,
Ill be selling mine soon, I love the regular Ibanez neck more as it helps with my screwed up wrists)))

Beautiful guitar and great pics! Hard to find these in the US.

I’ve seen some waiting lists stating Dec 2023 for the AF2000

Just seen this. If I wasn’t so committed I would be very tempted. I have a few Ibanez Japan guitars (OK they are shredding machines) and I think they are truly great. The start of prestige instruments saw some real step up in quality. Good luck with the sale - and with the purchase for the lucky buyer.
