Ideally I’m looking to find a 2 pickup, sunburst model (although I’m not opposed to a single pickup 350P) in as close to original condition as possible. Having had a re-fret is alright with me. If you have one you’ve been thinking of selling, lemme know if you would like to talk about it. I’m located in the PNW.

    Thanks,
    Aaron

Try Archtop.com or Dutchbopper here in the Forums. If you want to go very similar albeit a bit different try a Heritage H-550 One of the best they make.
Dave'sguitar.com in Wisconsin had a beautiful Black with Bigsby NAMM show one for sale recently!

There is a 1951 sunburst double pickup ES-350 for sale at the 12th Fret in Toronto. I have dealt with this shop numerous times and they are really good people. The guitar has recently been reduced to $7,995 CAD, which would be approximately $6,300 USD at today’s exchange rate. They will ship guitars worldwide. I haven’t seen the guitar, but it looks pretty nice in the pictures.

@floatingpickup You seem to be nearby. Have you had a chance to play this one? I sent an inquiry to 12thFret after I was alerted by Hammertone. They sent some pics. I asked another couple of questions, but have yet to hear back from them. Will try again.

@jads57 Joe V. is an hour and a half drive from me. Been to his place a couple of times over the years. Always a treat. He showed me a blonde 350 that I'd move mountains for, but it's NFS.

There are two on Reverb, one of which seems to have been listed for several years.

Hi Telephone: The 12th Fret is a little over an hour away from me. I haven’t been travelling around much during the pandemic, so I have not seen the guitar. I believe Hammertone is much closer to the store, so he may have already checked it out. There are a few other members here who live in Toronto and hopefully, someone can report on it. Alternatively, you could call the store and speak to Chris Bennett. He is their vintage guitar specialist. Chris has owned some nice archtops himself, and he would be able to give you an honest evaluation of the guitar. It seems like a very fair price to me and the description sounds good.

The Fret is cool. Chris is cool. My office is a few blocks from the store. I've been providing them with Hofner Beatle basses for over 20 years - whenever I can get my hands on them (not so easy these days). They ship internationally all the time and know their stuff.

    Hammer:
I agree. I know Grant and Chris and I have a lot of respect for them. Have you checked out the ES-350?

Thanks for the replies, fellas. Good to hear positive feedback regarding Chris and 12th Fret.
I was just going to pm HT to ask the same question above. One of my unanswered questions has to do with the upper strap button. It resides on the bass-side rim, and I can’t tell from one of the pics if there’s any damage in the area. Have a look.

Oh yes, I would want some more information on that. The picture isn’t real clear but it looks like it could be a little messy in that area. It almost looks like there is some tape or something there. Hopefully, they can send you some better photos. I wonder if they would do a Facetime call with you to go over the guitar in detail. That would be better than a few pictures. I wish I was closer and could be of more help.

Yes, it looks like tape to me as well. Hopefully I’ll get a response on Tuesday. They’re closed Sunday, Monday. Thanks for taking the time, Keith.

Whelp… it’s on the way. Received a straight-on pic of the area in question (was just a trick of the light, all clean with no breaks), as well as had a conversation with Chris. Sealed the deal today. My optimism is growing.

That’s exciting! I hope you are happy with the guitar. Be sure and let us all know how it works out.
