There is nothing like an L-12. I have a 35 in a much more "distressed" finish and it sounds absolutely brilliant and plays like a dream. Good luck with the sale!

    1950s L-7:
    -@25 1/2" scale
    -parallel braced
    -carved spruce top
-sometimes has a laminated maple back, sometimes carved maple back
-single arch style of arching to the top and back

    1930's "Advanced" L-7 (or L-12, L-5, or L-10):
    -@24 3/4" scale
    -x braced
    -carved spruce top
    -carved maple back
-"double hump" style of arching to the top and back

Advanced L-12 has fancier appointments than Advanced or post-@'38 L7:
    -more purfling
    -gold-plated parts
-unique tailpiece, fancier than the L-7
-unique headstock overlay, fancier than the L-7
-sunburst finish on back as well as on top

Late '30s and post-war L-7 adopted the double parallelogram inlays used on the '30s Advanced L-12
