I am hanging on to your Johnny Smith :-) This one has a sister that complements the HJS.

I LOVE these guitars. Back in the day when Japan was putting their best foot forward to out build and out craft Gibson, these guitars, and the treasured Ibanez Sco plays, were the "335 killers" that wowed the world market. Tommy Tedesco was the sound of LA studio on countless music and film tracks-those were his guitar of choice.
Absolutely special gems of the double cutaway world. I remember when Kurt Rosenwinkel was in school, he played a Yamaha. It was his sound from the days when he was solidifying his sound.
The necks on these guitars are SO comfortable and fast. And these guys are hard to find.
    Good luck with the sale.

I would have bought one years ago if it hadn't been black. I'm a fingerprint phobe. Best neck I ever felt on a guitar and the pickups were beyond outstanding! Wish I had the $$!
