There were two of these custom built for Jay Wolfe. One is owned by a forum member, and that one has a 1 3/4" nut. The one I'm selling has a 1 11/16" nut. It is in excellent + condition. The finish is dark almond burst. The spruce is fine grained with nice silking. This guitar is X-braced with a HRW pickup and the four mount pickup system. It's the standard 3" depth and comes in a heavy case.
There is an ebony pickguard as a spare that can easily be installed if you prefer. Case candy included.
There are two bridges. One looks like a Gretsch bridge. That was well fitted to the top. I had another ebony one fitted to the top and the guitar set up by the legendary Pete Moreno.
The upcharges for this Heritage build include a custom colored finish, the ultra woods, the HRW and the Florentine cutaway.
There is almost no fret wear, like 1%. There are no issues.
The upcharges over a standard GE are:
1. Premium wood $500
2. Florentine cutaway $500
3. HRW $200 with four point mounts.
4. Custom case extra $100
5. Custom bridge $90
6. Special finish $125
7. Mounted pickup $200
8. Extra hand fitted ebony bridge $150
The neck is medium. The frets are level and there's no need for a PLEK.
$4450 plus shipping and PP fees. I also take checks.
This will be the second Golden Eagle I'm listing for sale. I want to keep one. Both are easy to play and sound just great.

Of course this won't be available by the time I'm ready to purchase late winter or early spring. It's like it was custom ordered for just me. EVERYTHING is just how I would want it. Crap!!! Sniff, sniff.

Oops! Just noticed it's a thin body. I feel better now.....LOL!!

My (wonderful) mistake! Still wouldn't be able to add it to my family for several months, after I start up my p/t job again. It runs from January to August every year. I'm off the rest of the time. I'm officially retired. That's why cash is kind of thin. But, at least my p/t job allows me some toys.

Oof...that’s just awesome. Whoever gets this beaut should be extremely pleased. Wish it were me.

Drop dead gorgeous. Golden Eagles are outstanding guitars to begin with. THIS is a standout Golden Eagle. Wowsers!
-
This one is a jewel. C’mon Marty...lemme trade ya 2 for this dandy?
-
Really a beauty. The spruce is about as fine as it gets.
-
This GE is as close to a Heritage Kenny Burrell as one could get, only slightly smaller and half the price...a perfect archtop in my view.
Good luck with your sale!

Long time forum member(registered since 2009) now that things are going better for me life-wise(the opposite of many this year sadly) it is my goal to purchase a caretaker level piece like this from one of the forum members within the next year or so. Fantastic guitar, best of luck with the sale!

The Blonde version of this guitar at Gryphon looks pretty cool.
So does this one!

Gorgeous. If it were parallel braced I'd probably jump on it!
