Hi guys. I never thought I’d do this, but my playing needs have changed in the last few years and my Campellone is the only archtop that I need these days. So, I’m listing here my 2011 Bryant Trenier Model E 16”. This guitar has a carved European spruce top with European carved maple back and sides. The nut width is approximately 1 11/16” (I mistakenly stated in the past that it was 1 3/4”. See pic). The rims are about 2.75” wide. The 22 fret neck is 1 piece maple with some slight relief. Action is about 1.5mm at the nut and 3mm at the 12th fret. It plays incredibly well everywhere on the neck. Frets are in excellent shape. The fretboard is ebony with pearl or abalone split rectangular inlays. It has been fitted with a recent set of TI Jazz Swing 12’s.
This guitar has a built in Lollar Imperial humbucker with volume and tone thumbwheels under the ebony pickguard. The tuners were upgraded to Kluson Wafflebacks at some point in its life. The sound of this guitar is fat and rich through the p/u and surprisingly resonant played acoustically for a thinner bodied electric archtop. The tone control provides a nice range of tones.
There are a few minor dings, most notably 2 on the tailpiece (see photo) and a small indentation on the top just behind the pickguard on the treble side. That one doesn’t show in photos. The guitar comes with the original TKL black case in excellent condition.
Price: $8,000. Buyer pays any fees and actual shipping cost. CUSA only please.

The guitar is still available. The Model E was Bryant’s precursor to the Jazz Special, but made with solid, carved woods. Bryant told me that less than 10 of them were made. This is an especially nice example.

The guitar is sold to a forum member.

I call that finish iced tea.
I own a similarly finished 17" Trenier Excel built in 2010. I love the D'Aquisto tribute style.
Wonderful instrument. Very lightweight and comfortable to play.
Floating KA 12 pole.
Bryant's tailpiece on these made mine difficult to get the strap on the end pin jack because it was recessed too far. I had to remove the jack and adjust it and reinsert it. Not overly difficult, but took some planning and consultation with some of the brains on the forum (thank you)! I love the guitar. It's a joy to play. I learned that Bryant had lived in Seattle early in his journey as a luthier. He sure builds some fine instruments. Congrats to the new owner.

Yours is very similar in appearance, Sky. Drop dead gorgeous. I will miss it, but selling is the right thing for me right now.
