I even have a gold plated dearmond 1100 reissue that works fine I just think it was not balanced correctly for the e and b strings. I swapped it out for a replacement, again that would be dirt cheap if you want to give it a try. Others too.

Pretty sure I have a Bartolini 5J. Before I look for it, please PM me your offering price.

Thx! I’m searching for a pickup with the brass bracket to install at the end of the fretboard.
I’m also searching for a Johnny Smith, or Kent Armstrong 12 pole PAF floater.

Hi! I have a brand new unused Bartolini 5J with the brass bracket. I got it direct from Bartolini. Please PM me!

Is Bartolini not supplying the 5J anymore? A quick look at their website shows "normally in stock"-granted kind of pricey at $200-250. I adore the 5J on my Benedetto Cremona and if it ever fails, I'd replace it with the same.

Rob is the talent. He's built some pickups for me. He's a perfectionist. He designs and makes pickups for Heritage and so much more.
I have a large archtop in which the floater was dead. I asked him to make a single coil pickup that fits in a Heritage floater casing. He later contacted me to say it is ready to check out.
He built three different pickups, all fitting in the Heritage casing. The output went from low to slightly hot. I tried all three in his basement. He and I liked the middle one best. That's what I got. He kept the internals of the other two.
I think he makes the Heritage humbuckers (225 Parsons) himself.
The tricky part of a floater is the proper installation.
