PRICE DROP $7000 FROM $7500 McCurdy Kenmare Archtop 17'' (with Handwound Armstrong)

Selling this fantastic McCurdy Kenmare Archtop built by Ric McCurdy in 2009. Bought it at Rudy's for this price, but recently got a 69' L5 so need to sell this. The guitar is in almost perfect condition, with just one small nick in the nitro finish on the upperbout high e string side (see in picture). Includes a handwound Kent Armstrong "Slimbucker" and hidden controls on the pickguard. Having never played an archtop with hidden volume and tone controls, I was suprised by how quickly I adjusted to the location. Most of the time volume adjust is by feel, not by sight. I recently had Ric adjust the pickup with a slight tilt toward the high e string so that the string to string volume is more even. The guitar has a slightly fatter neck, somewhat like the older Gibson ES-125's, and is insanely easy to play. I have 13 DR legend's on it, which are notably higher tension flatwounds, and they feel like light 12s. The neck is completely even and the frets are the low profile ones that Ric uses on all his guitar. The guitar has a brilliant acoustic sound and does not have feedback issues despite its resonance. I played this guitar on a gig at smalls at high volume and had no feedback issues whatsoever. Ric also includes a sound hole near the player side which makes playing the guitar acoustically more rewarding (see picture). The guitar includes the original McCurdy hard shell case, a TKL.
