The Sadowsky SS-15 was introduced in 2010. Your guitar is not from the 1990s.

Those guitars destined for the Japanese market do not go to the NYC shop. They get printed labels, hence the variation. One will often see colours and woods on the Japanese-market instruments that were not used on the instruments that went to the US.
Sadowsky's solid body guitar lines, 'NYC Custom Guitars' (electric nylon, T-style, S-style, Broadway) are completely separate to the archtops and are made in the US.
