I think they made the es 135 (in its original form) from 1954-56.
The pictures show what makes the 135 different from the rather humbler 125.
e.g. separate tuning machines (original - except the butter bean knobs)
lined extended pick guard (in lovely condition: no warping - perfectly fixed - no rattles or cracks)
figured maple top and back
lined fretboard
fretboard inlays
The guitar is in perfect working - gig ready - order: no buzzes - low action - fabulous original p90 - reluctant to feedback.
The whole thing is in exceptional condition - the sunburst finish is in particularly good condition.
the absence of a strap pin leads me to suspect that it has never been 'gigged'.
Original:
pickguard
tuning machines
p90 - wiring
bridge
not original:
butter bean tuning knobs
tone and volume control
correct but non-original tailpiece
frets? (work perfectly but quite low)
case seems period correct to me - not sure if it is the original case.
