    Hey guys - I realize that there may be some compromise in audio quality, but I seem to recall a single portable device that provided both audio and video recording, and was pretty good, but I can't remember the name.

    Any recommendations?

    I really wanted to like this camera, but for some reason it doesn't have a rechargable lithium battery, you have to buy batteries every time, or get separate charger and rechargable batteries. I've done it with an earlier model as well, it ain't worth it in the 21st century..

    Apart from that, this camera is great for sound, mediocre for video. I have the previous model which I've used on countless gigs.

    An alternate solution are the GoPro cameras.
