I know I'm not going to get a pro quality setup.

I'm not going to be able to fix up a room's acoustics for mixing. I'm probably going to have to mix with phones, not monitors. I'm going to have to use EQ on the monitor output to compensate for hearing loss.

I'm hoping that someone can recommend some adequate headphones for mixing that aren't wildly expensive. I can't recall the model, but I remember reading about a set that cost under $50 that are supposed to be pretty good.

    Thoughts?

I went with the Sennheiser HD280Pro. $98. They sound good. I will have to remix some things.

I picked them over the others because I have a Sennheiser microphone which I like. That is, I was familiar with the brand. Also, it was well reviewed.

    Thanks to all who replied.
