I never met Ron, but heard a lot about him. He was a teacher of various guitar styles in Glasgow, and was David Russell's first teacher - Russell is very famous in the classical world, and also the great jazz guitarist, Jim Mullen. But he also loved jazz, as you can hear on this precious video of his playing from 1991.



I recorded his contributions to a book called 25 Graded Pieces for Plectrum Guitar. Some of the pieces in the book are fairly easy, but they do get very hard. There are a number of composers in the book, and I recorded all 25 pieces, but here is my Ron Moore collection:
