    I bought his solo nylon string guitar album years ago. Did he also play jazz on electric guitar?

    Not sure, I've only heard him on nylon.

    But now I see he played (electric) R&B as well as (nylon) jazz -- he was the guitarist with the Clovers.

    There's a lot of material to be googled. Apparently he taught guitar and published instructional books although I haven't seen any (yet).
