Thanks, Kris! What a great solo by such a great player!
Frank was one of my teachers at GIT back in 1983. He went through the school a year or two ahead of me, then they had him teaching, showing everybody his sweep picking technique.

Man, I am just shaking my head! I love the way he built the solo, and then ended with those fast, fast runs. I also like how he stuck in those chord fragments and double stops. Thank, Kris.

Gambale tend to be overlooked or underappreciated. He's a stellar player. Some of his higher profile albums (Thunder, Live, etc.) have sounds on themthat are very 80s and haven't aged particularly well, but his playing was always a lot better than he got credit for
