In terms of material, the Milagro album isn't his strongest, but his playing is. Very much so.

Europa from Moonflower. Beautiful melody, and the notes just float in the air.

Come to think of it…the whole album’s awesome, and his tone is perfect.

I have that album. I loved their take on A Love Supreme at the time, but now I find it a bit meandering and overindulgent. I still like their albums together. I think they both add a little extra to the other. My favorite song of theirs is Friends on the Electric Guitarist (JM) album. Now THAT's some tone I can get into.

I like it because it is single coils and staccatto and reminds me of Middle School.

In fact, I started playing guitar in the late 60's thanks to Carlos Santana.

Great minds think alike. This is my favorite Santana Album and Song of the Wind is a great song. I'd follow that with Santana 3, Lotus, Moon Flower and his work with Alice Coltrane.
