In terms of important composers I'd have to go with Django, Wes, Metheny, Towner, and Jobim (and I guess also Bonfa & Almeida for "Brazilian" styles). I imagine a number of Julian Lage's pieces will be long lasting but gotta give it some time. Lot of great pieces written by folks like McLaughlin and Frisell, but doesn't seem like they are major contributors to the repertoire. (Don't imagine that folks are gonna call out "Noonward Race" during a jam session!)

Who else am I missing, please enlighten me! (No one hit wonders like Smith's "Walk Don't Run").
