    As great as they were, of the three high-profile guitarists that played with Oscar (Kessel, Ellis, Pass), I always prefer Herb Ellis with Oscar as his styles seem to contrast with Peterson the best while also having a kind of telepathy that came from all the time they spent together. Kessel's musical personality was kind of up-front like Oscar's and Pass and Oscar had similar conceptions. Ellis seemed to lock-in with him the best. Just MHO.
