    This is a repost because I edited the original recordings yesterday and they are now sounding better, with more low end and clarity. Still not hifi but these are cherished recordings for me. They were recorded 20 years ago and feature a young Jesse van Ruller in an informal jam session at the Crow with some local players. Jesse is really on fire on some of the tracks with endless ideas pouring out of his old Levin guitar.

    It's an edit, which means you only get to hear his solos. 30 minutes in total.

    His take on Oleo is just mind boggling.

    Wow... just... wow. For some reason I totally free-associated this recording with those really early Rene Thomas recordings. No idea why, but it was a very pleasurable association!

    Thanks for putting these out there! JVR doesn't get enough exposure.
