    This is Szymon Mika. I found him purely by accident, while I was just wasting some time on YouTube (I'm on vacation from work today). Oh, if I had the chops he has, when I was his age! And, he follows one of my playing credos - play for the song, don't go on an ego trip! Killer songs to boot!

    Szymon Mika’s trio album ”Unseen” is great. It’s one of my favorite contemporary jazz albums.

    yes very mature. I don’t know why more players don’t use that play/rest approach. It really gives the listener time to digest a players ideas, rather than what mostly seems the case, endless noodling and changing from one idea to another so quickly, that you leave listeners behind. Good stuff!
