    Hi, M,
    Many musicians are great technicians but fail to communicate on a personal level. I believe we, as individuals, listen to musicians/compositions that give us pleasure and say something to us musically. I rarely listen to "Hard-core Bop," "Progressive Jazz,' "New Age Jazz," or "Fusion." There's nothing there that touches me on a personal level.
