A buddy texted me last night that it was Jim Hall's birthday, which we mark every year by sharing some listening. I completely missed it and listened to Green Street all day.

Anyway ... I am remedying the situation by listening to Jim Hall Live! all day today.

I did not know yesterday was Jim's birthday. I did spend the afternoon playing music for four hours with bass, alto sax and piano. That was a ton of fun. We did talk about Jim Hall and the way that he and Bill Evans played together on their duo records. And I played my ES-175 as an unintentional tribute, I guess.
