Jimmy Raney and Atilla Zoller, at least 2 albums
Jimmy Raney and Martial Solal, 1 album
Jimmy Raney and Lee Konitz, unreleased sessions from a concert in Paris

Ooh, yeah, I'd be interested in hearing a straight up duet from those cats too.

Romero Lubambo and Cesar Camargo Mariano, guitar and piano. These two guys might have the best sense of time as a duo that I have ever heard. They are just locked in.

Bill Frisell and Joey Baron. Not my cup of tea, for the most part, but they are certainly having fun.

And Gene Bertoncini's recent album "Love Like Ours" which is a series of duos with violin, bass, vibes, voice, etc. Gene's harmonic conception is always fresh and surprising. In some ways I think he is the most modern of jazz guitarists.

My two favorite guitar and bass duo albums are Jim Hall & Red Mitchell live. And "Wood and Strings," recorded by former Berklee instructor, John Stein with bassist Dave Zinno.

My first lesson with Larry Coryell I made the mistake of telling him how much I liked this album. He replied " oh good, let's play something off it"...

John Abercrombie & Andy Laverne made about a half dozen duo records, obviously influenced by Hall/Evans but very much in their own way. I love all of them

Love this album. It was my gateway to jazz.
