    Hi All,
The title says it all. I am looking to build up a catalog of jazz trio albums with guitar, bass, and drums. What are your favorites? I am interested in anything that I would likely already know about to lesser-known players. Thanks!
    Rick

I feel like if you're a jazz guitar player and the Jim Hall Live record isn't one of your favorite records, its like having an iron deficiency or something

Forgot about Live at Murphy's Law. Man, that one smokes. He's one of the best when it comes to comping for yourself

Thanks, I didn't know these... I'll eventually take some time to listen to them.

I dig that tune so much -- a quartet I'm in plays it and I work on it constantly.

Get Me Joe Beck is a guitar trio playing familiar standards.

It was a two night gig by musicians that hadn't played together before, or not much, I'm not sure which. The first night went so well that they recorded the second night. That's the album.

So, it's like hearing a casual -- with astonishingly great musicianship.
