Thanks @andyv for sharing your playing an to everyone that’s shared clips a stories about Emily really cheered me up find what Emily left for us all just so inspirational.
actually just started on the Hotlicks bebop an swing book where you can download the original videos from it when you buy it wow she really did explain things super well even for a dyslexic / beginner like me things were just clicking watching it that I’ve struggled trying to learn about.
worth checking out if anyone’s not seen it although I’m sure many will have.
thanks again ^_^

That video where she explains the superlocrian and the lydian dominant is absolutely essential. Not sure she uses those actual terms, but she distinguishes between resolving and non-resolving dominants. Such a good communicator.

I recorded the Remler sets, playing them from the archive, and did some major editing. They are too slow, as the tunes in F were in E slightly flat. Increased pitch by about 1.5 semitones, letting the software just speed it up. I also matched play levels of the two channels and did some normalizing of play level.

Chris Whiteman recently did a Patreon lesson on Fried Pies so it got me to looking for an Emily version. I stumbled on the following. Lots of solo guitar playing by Emily here and there is an index of tunes in the description.
