That saxophone/Antique/ from the second clip.
It seems to have a warmer and darker sound....softer and more velvety sound.

I'm like Rahsaan Roland Kirk, I can't choose one.

EDIT: and the saxish instrument that Kirk solos on is an alto saxello.

I've always loved the big horns. I still have an ok bari, and my beloved 1960 Selmer Series 9 bass clarinet. But I sold my lovely '52 Conn 10M a while a ago. Great horn.

What no Mulligan? Ken Vandermark, Mats Gustafsson, of course John Surman, Roscoe Mitchell, Anthony Braxton, Pat Patrick with the Arkestra, but my favorite player on bari was the great Hamiet Bluiett

Have you heard Colin Stetson on bass?

    Yeah!

I love Leo P. Look past the first tune - there’s serious music in this one.

I play Baritone sax. I play the other saxes S/A/T/B but with groups/ensembles I play Baritone cos nobody else has one! It's a great instrument and it was listening to JOHN SURMAN back in the day that gave me the inspiration to take up sax many years ago. I play the guitar more but, you know, there's a million guitarists so these days guitar is just at home (Chord/melody type stuff)
It always makes me chuckle when I hear guitarists complaining about the weight of their instrument. I suggest to try gigging a 13lb Baritone for two hours - all guitars then become lightweights.
