    Chromatic harmonica. It’s about as soulful as a musical instrument can get. Not easy, though.

    That said, I’ll stick with guitar. It’s a cruel enough taskmaster.

    I was always impressed the expression power of horns an violin. Unfortunatelly those intruments are so loud, and seems so hard to produce an even partly enjoyable musical sentence on them, I was always scared to start... :-)

    I’ve fooled around with diatonic harmonicas a bit and I enjoy them and feel that they can have such a rich wonderful sound. I’ve never tried a chromatic harmonica. What do you prefer about them? Is it the ability to play in any key with the same instrument? Or do you like the sound? It seems thin to me, but I also admire the sheer facility of Stevie Wonder, no question.
