    Thanks for putting that together, Dirk Great resource. Apparently, I need more books than I already have, as several things rated highly here are strangers to my music stand.... (On the other hand, it's good so many books I have listed here!)

    Hi Dirk: I noticed Tom Kolb's Soloing Strategies is cited twice in the General Music list. (Personally I'd add Kolb's Chord Progressions book which is essential).

    My vote: "Jazz Guitar Power Soloing," from Crowell's Jazz Science Series...a rich dessert for the desert.
