I love this tune. I used to accompany a friend on clarinet on it before he passed away. The Duke Robillard version that the OP links to is really nice.
Here’s my attempt on solo guitar. I’ve been doing a lot more gardening than practicing lately, so it’s rough. I’ll try to work on finger mechanics and clean it up.
It's been awhile since i last logged in here, but there's a strange synchronicity in that i was just playing
'If I Had You' a couple of days ago, and here it is as this month's standard...
and so, off to the shed i will head, since there are still a few days left in the month!!!

without the benefit of my 2nd cup of am coffee:
Hopefully it will get a little better...

Yeah, when I bought my Beaudens some years ago they were available here in US on Amazon and several other outlets. Since then they have disappeared from all US sources.

Thanks, sgcim, for shedding light on this sad background!
This shows once again how important it is, especially for musicians, to continue to develop themselves; to carry not the ashes, but the fire...
Vocabulary wise, I think the rhythm is important.
So this is just screwing around with a lick that has the same rhythm as the opening phrase of DL. Fits over the same chords.

I find a 150w Beaudens power station available (only in Europe, though). It uses Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, which I would prefer over Lithium ion. Amazon says it weighs 2.2kg, which is about...
List of covers. I can't pretend I've heard them all. Find the ones you like. They seem to like Harry Connick, Jnr.
Cover versions of I Concentrate on You by Frank Sinatra – Orchestra under the...
By the way, although Miles Davis took credit for writing Donna Lee, the first two phrases are almost identical to the opening of Fats Navarro's solo over his tune Ice Freezes Red, recorded more than...
I wanted my solid body to sound more like an archtop, so I cut a strip from a cotton sock and did two-three rounds in between the strings by the bridge. Sounded nice
