This is my man of the moment. I didn't find any of the guitar versions particularly interesting, even the Joe Pass one which was a bit irritating (sorry).

But this is good, several choruses of good lines at breakneck speed and not a note wrong. My hero!

Anyone notice what happens at the 1:11 mark in the Bireli clip when he jerks his right hand away from the strings for a second?

Before that point he is holding the pick between his thumb and second finger...!?
After that point he is holding it between his thumb and first finger.

I’d forgotten how great Louis Stewart was. I didn’t realize he died in 2016.

    Work in progress...
I set myself on a tempo of 226, but it is where my limits are for sure .
    I really have to practice.
But isn't that just one of these great things of this forum/ thread.

Here is my Cherokee at 226.

Ofcourse it is all about the high tempo and how to play on that.
I am not blessed with amazing speed chops, so I can't play 8ths all the way, so I had to find a way around it.
I found out not to play too many 8ths in a row, otherwise I would tumble over them.

On 1/3 rd of the video, something went wrong with the video/audio synchronization.

Nice one, Hans. More enjoyable than some professional versions.

    Here is my 2nd upload:
    bpm= 240

Ofcourse for me is to see if I can avoid too many 8ths.
Also I notice that I have a tendency to start the 8ths on the beat, instead to start the 8ths on a more swinging off beat.

Yeah, first thing I noticed was that thumb/middle finger grip, as I've never seen him use that before. And then the switch in the middle... Show off
