I have played nylon string guitars with 2" nuts, 1 7/8" nuts and 1 3/4" nuts. I think with the proper strings, one can adapt to any of those sizes. For the complex Classical material, I agree that...

Probably a nuanced topic. All plausible explanations, IMHO. However, there are exceptions. I have a hollow archtop that rings forever. And I have solid body guitars that don't.

I can't see a center seam, so I would guess that the body is laminated. But that's just a guess. Another guess is that the price tag on it is optimistic. But again, that's just a guess.

It is my understanding the carved mahogany backs did not start until around 2003. At one time I did a lot of research on this topic. It is easy to see the end grain on the back of the carved models....
Exactly. That's why this particular slice of production was SO rare and extraordinary. And it's lighter for it. SO responsive.
